| A Parting Thought You may have noticed that we save a lot of water in this home. A lot of people think we should get a grant or something to pay for these water savers, but we don't need a grant, not one dollar. What we need is fairness. This home could save upwards of 40% of the water our competitors homes consume, yet we pay the same charge to the Region to make the water plants and sewage plants, and this is passed on in the price of the home. If we could pay based on what we use, it would be less than it is now. So much so that we could put these water saving devices in every home for free. And so could every other builder, out of fairness, not subsidies. We need all our governments to walk the talk, because, as Kermit would tell you, it's not easy being green. |
